Darcy has worked with children, families, and adults from various different backgrounds for over 8 years.
Darcy received her B.S.W. followed by her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work, both from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. She then went on to work in community-based mental health supporting children and families struggling with various mental health conditions as well as adolescents within juvenile detention facilities. Darcy has also worked to establish trauma-informed milieus for several agencies and non-profit organizations. Darcy has experience providing mental health support in hospital settings for adults in crisis, working with foster care organizations, and working with clients in outpatient settings to treat anxiety and depression. She has led several trainings on supporting children with varying behavioral challenges, has presented on trauma-informed care for the Nevada Public Health Foundation, and has enjoyed leading support groups for both clients and their families in the past.
Darcy lives with her family in San Francisco, and in her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.
